Andorra national football team profil history FAF Federacio Andorrana de Futbol was founded in 1994 and is controlled by the Andorran Football Federation, became a member of UEFA Affiliation in 1996 and FIFA in 1996. The team has enjoyed very little success due to the Principality's tiny population, the fourth smallest of any UEFA country after Liechtenstein, Faroe Island and San Marino are smaller.
Andorra's national team debut arrived in 1996 with a 6-1 defeat in a friendly match to Estonia. Andorra have competed in qualifying for every European Championship and World Cup but have had very little success. They have one win in competitive matches, a 1–0 win against Macedonia in the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying competition.

Andorran membership of soccer's world and European
governing bodies enabled the nation's footballers to compete
internationally with club and country. Playing in the first qualifying round of the 1997/98
UEFA Cup. The national team made their competitive debut in UEFA EURO
2000 qualifying, beginning with a 3-1 defeat in Armenia on 5 September
1998. Jesús Lucendo scored the goal. Andorra also performed creditably
against France, conceding just three goals in two meetings with the FIFA
World Cup holders and eventual European champions. They had warmed up
for that campaign by hosting Brazil in June 1998, a friendly ending in
an honourable 3-0 defeat.
In 2010 World Cup qualifying they lost all ten matches. For the tournament, they scored three goals, in defeats to Belarus and Kazakhstan, and conceded 39 goals, including six in a defeat to England, the largest margin in the group. Qualifying for UEFA Euro 2012 ended in a similar way, they lost all ten matches, scoring only one goal and conceding 25, their best results were two one-goal losses to Slovakia and a 3–1 loss in Ireland.
